Technology

Dr. Roberto Bellegarrigue, DMD is committed to staying on the forefront of new advances in dental technology that help improve our level of care for our patients. We can use dental technology to make your dental procedures cost-effective, efficient, reliable, and comfortable.

At North Tampa Dentistry, we are proud to explain the dental technology we use to provide our patients with the highest quality dental care they deserve. We invite you to take a few minutes to look at the technology we utilize, then call us at (813) 968-5368 to schedule a dental appointment in Tampa.

Digital Records

Digital records allow our North Tampa dental staff to be efficient with record-keeping and transmitting patient records to necessary parties, such as insurance providers or dental specialists. Instant digital sharing allows for quicker pre-authorizations and assessments. In the past, patient records were entirely in writing, with x-ray photos and notes. Digital files contain precise and accurate digital images, tooth charts, notes from the dental staff and insurance company, and more.

digital dental x-rays at our Tampa dental office

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays allow Dr. Bellegarrigue to examine patient x-rays immediately, leading to better identification and diagnoses of oral conditions. Because they are digital, Dr. Bellegarrigue and his dental staff can share them with insurance providers or dental specialists instantly. The quality of the images allows your North Tampa dentist to zoom in or enhance the x-ray image for better diagnosing.

Digital x-rays allow for more accuracy and precision during check-ups and exams. They are a critical diagnostic tool for any oral health issues; they can detect bone and root health, tooth decay, tooth or gum disease, cysts, tooth or gum infection, and tumors. Dr. Bellegarrigue can use digital x-rays for precise dental implant placement.

Digital x-rays give off 90 percent less radiation than conventional x-rays, making them a better option for your health, and the environment.

Intraoral Camera Image, North Tampa Dentist

Intraoral Camera

Intraoral cameras allow Dr. Bellegarrigue to examine any issues in your mouth and take full-color pictures of your oral condition.

Resembling a large pen, the intraoral camera takes high-resolution images and instantly transfer the images to your chairside monitor. The camera can rotate, zoom in to 100x, and view your entire mouth.

Patients can watch the monitor and see real-time images of what their dentist is observing. Dr. Bellegarrigue can look for delicate issues, like enamel erosion, tooth disease, or cracks.

Panoramic X Ray Machine, Tampa Dentist

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays are another useful diagnostic tool that allows Dr. Bellegarrigue to observe your entire oral structure—teeth, gums, soft tissue, hard tissue, bone, neck, and more. The images are two-dimensional and provide a flat image that shows all the vital foundations of your smile.

Panoramic x-rays show Dr. Bellegarrigue a comprehensive image of your head and neck, which can help him diagnose complicated oral health issues, including bone or soft tissue abnormalities.

Using panoramic x-rays helps us diagnose:

  • Tooth and gum infections
  • Fractured teeth
  • Tooth impaction
  • Cysts
  • Oral abnormalities
  • Bone health
  • Tumors
  • Periodontal disease
  • TMJ

Panoramic x-rays can also help Dr. Bellegarrigue with orthodontic, cosmetic, or restorative treatments like braces, dental implants, dental bridges, and dentures.

Television in Rooms

Our North Tampa patients can relax and feel comfortable during each dental visit. We provide TVs in all of our treatment rooms for the viewing pleasure of our Carrollwood patients. Now our patients can settle in and catch up on their favorite TV shows while we take care of their oral health.

Intraoral X-Ray System

Our intraoral x-ray system is a wonderful diagnostic tool. The x-ray head is easy to position for easier imaging.

Intraoral x-rays are the most common type of x-ray and produce sharp and accurate images. They provide a lot of detail and make it easier for your dentist to find tooth decay and infection, check for healthy roots and bone, monitor emerging teeth, and get an accurate look of the health of your teeth and jaw.

Throughout every dental procedure, we ensure that patients are comfortable and secure. This includes how we diagnose and treat, down to the tools we use.

3d digital scanner

Digital 3D Scanner

Our intraoral scanner is a powerful digital imaging tool that offers full-color oral scans. Backed by advanced intraoral scanner technology, this tool can provide accurate and precise scans.

Using an intraoral scanner saves our patients a lot of time during their appointment with us. Instead of sitting with us for hours, intraoral scanners provide quick, safe, accurate, and comfortable diagnostic scans. Patients never have to worry about harmful radiation, and we can rest knowing that each image captures the precise shape and size of your teeth.

We are proud to use advanced dental tools that keep your experience with us pleasant and stress-free.

If you would like to look at any of our dental equipment or learn more about how they function, just let us know. Our dental team is always happy to educate and provide office tours. We enjoy being able to provide efficient dental treatment without inconveniencing our patients in any way.

Digital Sensors

Traditionally, photographic x-rays were the preferred method for keeping a record of a patient's teeth and gums. Digital x-ray sensors are quickly replacing this method by creating more detailed, computer-enhanced images of your oral structure. An electronic sensor is placed in the patient's mouth to record their oral condition. These images are transferred to the patient's digital records in order to keep track of their dental health.
